Who may file applications via the large-customer interface?
Only a registered large customer files applications. Before each application it must authenticate. To do so it states the identification feature assigned to it on registration.
Only after successful authentication can an application be filed via the interface.
For whom can the large customer file the application?
| Application | Power of attorney |
|---|---|
| For itself | not required |
| For a third party as keeper | power of attorney as specified in Annex 12 |
| For a third party in a deregistration | no power of attorney to be transmitted |
The power of attorney is transmitted to the large-customer interface. Its form is governed by § 38 of the ordinance.
How does the large customer learn of the decision?
With the application the large customer declares its consent to electronic notification. The registration authority's decision can be notified to it by arriving in a mailbox.
- a mailbox set up for it at the Federal Motor Transport Authority,
- or the mailbox of its organisation account under the Online Access Act.
What applies to more than 100 applications in 1 day?
If a large customer intends to file an exceptionally high number of applications within 1 day, it coordinates directly with the registration authority beforehand.
Under the ordinance, a number of more than 100 applications is exceptional.
Which steps does filing involve?
- authentication with the identification feature,
- application for itself or for a third party as keeper,
- consent to notification in the mailbox,
- transmission of the power of attorney if a third party is the keeper.
The 4 steps follow directly from § 37 of the ordinance.
What does this mean for dealers?
The interface requires a separate registration as a large customer with the Federal Motor Transport Authority.
With Zevra the dealer files cases in the dealer portal, and the keeper grants the power of attorney with a qualified electronic signature. Registration costs from 10 € per case, deregistration 2 € net, plus official fees.
