What can the portal really do – and what (not yet)?
Zevra has been in operation since 2026 and today covers the 5 case types that occur daily in the motor trade: new registration, day registration, transfer, re-registration and deregistration – nationwide, without the customer's online ID card.
Not covered today: an API for dealer systems (planned, not yet available), short-term and export plates and anything the i-Kfz procedure itself does not allow – for example vehicles without a valid roadworthiness test.
Cases and power of attorney
5 case types digitally
New registration, day registration, transfer (with and without change of keeper), re-registration and deregistration – each case with a mandatory-field check before filing; the temporary registration proof is valid for 10 days.
Power of attorney and SEPA in one signature
Standing or single power of attorney, qualified-signed via Verimi under the eIDAS Regulation (EU) No 910/2014; the SEPA mandate for the fees is signed in the same step.
Documents with OCR suggestion
Upload ID, part I/II, eVB, CoC encrypted; text recognition suggests the vehicle identification number and plate for adoption – you check, the portal adopts.
Checks before the authority
IBAN check, eVB format, security codes, already deregistered? – the most common rejection reasons become visible before the application, not after.
Plates, overview, invoicing
From personalised plate to e-invoice.
Personalised plates
Reservation in the case, valid for 90 days; order the pair of plates for €4,50 directly.
Dashboard
Status of every case live, filter by status and cost centre, cost centre per case, several companies and sites in one account, dark mode.
Consolidated invoice
1 invoice a month (€10 per registration), as PDF and as e-invoice under EN 16931 (XRechnung).
Export
Cases and invoices as an Excel file for bookkeeping and tax adviser; data export under the GDPR.
Access and operation
4 languages
German, English, Arabic (right-to-left) and Turkish – switchable per user, support in the same language.
Installable as an app
The portal can be installed on smartphone and desktop as an app (PWA) – no app store, no separate installation per device.
Security built in
2FA can be enabled, staff accounts with roles, activity log, help centre explaining the authority's error messages.
What does not work yet
- API or DMS connection: planned, currently not available – cases are entered in the portal.
- Short-term and export plates: not part of the offer.
- Vehicles without a valid roadworthiness test or a change of keeper without registration certificate part II: rejected by the i-Kfz procedure – no service provider changes that.
- Round-the-clock hotline: support on working days by e-mail and phone.
