Vehicle registration via interface and DMS – the honest status
An API for dealer systems is planned at Zevra but not yet available. This page shows how data flows today between your business and the portal: text recognition on entry, Excel export and e-invoice for accounting.
Does Zevra have an API for vehicle registration?
Not yet. Zevra has been in operation since 2026; an interface that starts cases directly from the dealer management system (DMS) is planned and currently not available. Until then, cases are entered in the dealer portal.
What already works without retyping: text recognition suggests the vehicle identification number and the plate from the uploaded documents, and cases as well as invoices can be taken into your systems as a file. The price stays at €10 per registration and €2 per deregistration, with a €0 base fee.
How does data get in and out today?
Entry with text recognition
Upload ID, registration certificate, eVB and CoC; text recognition suggests the vehicle identification number and the plate for you to accept.
Excel export
Cases and invoices as an Excel file for accounting and the tax adviser – filterable by status and cost centre.
E-invoice
The monthly consolidated invoice comes as PDF and as e-invoice under EN 16931 (XRechnung) and can be read by machine.
Multiple businesses
Several businesses and sites in one access; every case carries a cost centre and appears separately in billing.

- The power of attorney with a qualified electronic signature stays a requirement for every application.
- The registration authority continues to decide on the application.

- Documents must still be complete and legible.
