Large dealer groups, fleets and registration services ask whether their own connection pays off. All details come from §§ 33 to 36 of the Vehicle Registration Ordinance (FZV).
Zevra is the B2B platform for digital vehicle registration for car dealers, registration services and fleets: cases are entered in the dealer portal and filed nationwide by power of attorney with qualified electronic signature – from €10 per registration, no base fee, no minimum volume.

Who can register as a large customer?
| Criterion | Rule |
|---|---|
| Legal form | legal person under private law |
| Volume | regularly more than 500 applications a year |
| Application | electronically at the Federal Motor Transport Authority |
| Identification | via an organisation account under the Online Access Act |
| excluded | procedure providers involved on behalf of a registration authority |
Which details does the application require?
- name and address of the legal person, and a different billing address if any
- at least 2 natural persons as contacts with address, e-mail address and telephone number
- name and address of all contracting partners who file applications in the large customer's name
- the estimated number of applications per year
- whether applications are also to be filed as an authorised representative for third parties
Which duties does the large customer take on?
- comply with the requirements and standards set by the Federal Motor Transport Authority
- pay all fee debts without delay after the fee notice is issued
- always reserve a sufficient number of plates at the registration authority and use only these
- report changes to the details without delay
- answer for the reliability of its contracting partners and be liable for their fault as for its own
Which cases run through the large-customer interface?
First registration, day registration, re-registration, change of keeper or residence and deregistration. With every application the large customer states the identifier that the Federal Motor Transport Authority sends electronically with the registration.
When is the registration revoked?
The Federal Motor Transport Authority may check at any time whether the requirements are still met. If they are no longer met or the large customer does not cooperate, the registration can be revoked – also because of too few cases.
What does this mean for businesses below 500 applications?
Anyone who does not reach the threshold or does not want to bear the duties uses a service that is already connected. Zevra files your cases via the large-customer interface.
With Zevra, registration costs from €10, deregistration from €2 per case, net and plus official fees.
