This page gives a factual overview of the market: which routes exist, which providers are active, and how a business can tell which route fits its volume. We do not judge other providers.
Zevra is the B2B platform for digital vehicle registration for car dealers, registration services and fleets: cases are entered in the dealer portal and filed nationwide by power of attorney with qualified electronic signature – from €10 per registration, no base fee, no minimum volume.

Which routes to digital vehicle registration exist for businesses?
| Route | Requirement | Suitable for |
|---|---|---|
| i-Kfz portal of the registration authority | Company account with ELSTER certificate; one application per vehicle in the portal of the competent authority | a few cases in one registration district |
| KBA bulk-customer interface (direct) | legal entity, regularly more than 500 registration applications per year, registration with the Federal Motor Transport Authority, own technical connection | large groups with their own IT |
| Connected B2B platform | dealer account with the provider and a power of attorney from the keeper | dealerships, registration services and fleets without their own KBA registration |
| Classic registration service with couriers | original documents, pick-up or shipping | vehicles with older documents without a security code |
According to the Federal Ministry of Transport, the i-Kfz procedures have also been open to legal entities since September 2023. In all four routes the decision on each application is made by the registration authority.

How does a dealership recognise the right provider?
Eight questions to ask any provider before deciding:
- Is there a minimum volume or a monthly base fee?
- Is the price per case public – and are official fees included or added on top?
- Which case types are covered: new registration, one-day registration, transfer, re-registration, deregistration?
- Does the end customer need an activated online ID, or is a power of attorney with a qualified electronic signature enough?
- If an application is rejected, is the authority's reason visible on the case?
- How is billing done: per case, with a monthly collective invoice?
- Does one price apply nationwide, or does it depend on the registration district?
- Is there an interface to your own dealer system – and is it already available?
What does Zevra offer – in figures?
| Feature | Zevra |
|---|---|
| Registration / transfer / re-registration | €10 net |
| Deregistration | €2 net |
| Official fees | added 1:1 |
| Monthly base fee / minimum volume | €0 / none |
| End customer's online ID | not needed – power of attorney with QES |
| Billing | per case, monthly collective invoice |
| Interface to the dealer system | planned, not yet available |
All prices plus VAT. The price applies nationwide, regardless of the registration district.
