Register motorcycles online before the season starts
Vehicle registration for motorcycle dealers works digitally just as for cars: Zevra brings new registration, transfer and deregistration of motorcycles into one dealer portal – with no trip to the registration office when every spring day counts.
What motorcycle dealers gain with Zevra
The same procedure as for cars
Under the Vehicle Registration Ordinance the internet-based procedure applies to motor vehicles and their trailers – with security codes, eVB number and SEPA mandate.
Handover the same day
The temporary registration proof is printed and valid for 10 days; papers and sticker arrive by post.
Power of attorney without online ID
The customer grants the power of attorney by qualified electronic signature – on a smartphone, without a card reader.
Deregister trade-ins quickly
A motorcycle carries only 1 plate – deregistration needs the code of part I and the code of that one seal sticker.
How a motorcycle runs through Zevra
From the sales contract to handover – in 3 steps.
Obtain the power of attorney
The buyer signs digitally; the dealership's standing power of attorney is filed once in the portal.
Enter the vehicle
VIN, security code of part II, eVB number and SEPA mandate.
Fit the plate and hand over
Print the temporary proof, mount the plate from your own press, hand over the motorcycle.
What is different for motorcycles
Only 1 plate
Motorcycles carry one plate at the rear. Two-line plates are 200 mm high.
Seasonal plates for 2 to 11 months
According to the Federal Ministry of Transport, seasonal plates can be chosen in the i-Kfz procedure. Please ask us in advance about cases with seasonal plates.
General inspection every 24 months
For motorcycles, Annex VIII of the Road Traffic Licensing Regulations sets an interval of 24 months – including the first inspection.
