Vehicle registration in Munich for dealers and registration services

In short: Vehicle registration in Munich for dealers: the vehicle registration authority does not serve dealers and registration services at the general counter. They hand in application documents in the dealer boxes; out-of-town dealers can book an appointment at the dealer counter. Since 1 December 2023 Munich has had the district code MUC alongside M, which can neither be reserved nor newly assigned online. At Zevra, digital registration costs from €10 per case.

Munich strictly separates dealers from the private customer counter and, with MUC, has a second district code with its own online limits. This page sums up what the city itself publishes.

Zevra is the B2B platform for digital vehicle registration for car dealers, registration services and fleets: cases are entered in the dealer portal and filed nationwide by power of attorney with qualified electronic signature – from €10 per registration, no base fee, no minimum volume.
